Hunter Valley Disability Services Ltd was chosen for the transfer and operation of 37 NSW state-run disability supported accommodation homes across the Hunter Region
Hunter Valley Disability Services is a not-for-profit consortium comprising of local organisations that are well-respected in their communities, including Finding Yellow, Ability Options, Connectability Australia and accommodation partner Evolve Housing.
Minister for Disability Services, Ray Williams, said the successful providers had strong histories of supporting people with disability and proven track records in rural and regional areas.
Finding Yellow and its consortium members are committed to the people they support. The consortium will focus on ensuring the transition for residents, their families and support staff is as smooth as possible. The transfers are expected to commence from 1 December 2017.
